Rain

It's raining outside right now.  It's been a wonderful summer this year (2014) here in Pennsylvania.  We've had the most horrible HOT summers recently.  But this year it's a compassionate summer.  A/C while occasionally nice, has not been as necessary.  Evenings have been cool.  Days have been survivable with the house fans we have in place.  Every day I am thankful to God for giving us an unseasonably mild summer this year. 

What's really important in life?

It occurred to me this morning that there really isn't much that's super important in this world -- EXCEPT -- time (we spend with those we love or however we spend it) and love (the most powerful force of all). 

I live in a situation where there are lots of people.  It can be annoying at times to share and to be nice, when I don't feel very nice.  And others may find me annoying too -- imagine that???   (ha) 

Then I realized that living alone with all the quiet I could desire might not be as desirable as I might imagine.  In fact, I know it wouldn't.

Selfishness has no reward.  Being 'nice' sometimes doesn't either.  But to be truthful being alone (as attractive as the silence and ability to do as I wish) may very well be the real hell I would avoid if I had the sense.
